That evening we all were bussed downtown to watch a screening of all ten films. The theater was packed.  Apart from some issues with projection the evening was  a success.

We had some amazing representatives from the film industry conducting various panels each day. One of the main panelists was Jeff Dowd. If you don’t know he is the real life inspiration for the character Jeff Bridges portrayed in the film the big Lebowski. He is known to his fans and friends simply as The Dude.

We found a great guy named Eric Hollander who was nice enough to let us sleep at his house.  It turns out he is the guy who just is finishing up a documentary on jaws and had some amazing stories to share with us.  He also is a fan of film music so he and I hit of off pretty good. More to come about him later. After visiting with him till 1:30 am I got my air mattress set up next to a rather familiar looking buoy sitting in his living room and finally got to sleep around 2 am. About then I realized my throat was getting worse and the lack of sleep wasn’t helping.
